Who is Miss Music Nerd? I’m a composer, pianist and music educator currently based in the Detroit area. “Detroit,” you say? “Yikes!” No, really, it’s not that bad! Here’s my full biography.

Why are Miss Music Nerd’s glasses drawn on? I used to be very near-sighted… so much so, in fact, that I couldn’t read music at the piano without my glasses on. I had Lasik surgery right before those nerdy rectangular-framed glasses became fashionable, alas… but someday I’ll probably need reading glasses, and I fully intend to get some that look like this.
